No internal phone calls
It is not desired for Business Central to open for internal phone calls as well.
Internal calls can be identified by the field "Number for internal call" in the "CTI Setup".

did you try setting the CTI application to Excludse Calls "Internal"? This way CTI will not react for internal calls.
